NAPHL announces Apex Learning Peak Performers for November

The North American Prospects Hockey League (NAPHL) announced its Apex Learning Virtual School Peak Performers for the month of November. The players were selected based upon their performance during the NAPHL regular season games played during NAPHL events in November in addition to several regular season games played at NAPHL team arenas.

 

T1ER 18U

Forward: Adam Schankula, Tri State Spartans – Schankula, 18, put up nine points in four games during the month of November. The 6’2/190 lbs. native of Newmarket, ON, had three multi-point games during the month, recording six goals and three assists. He tendered and made his NAHL debut with the Maryland Black Bears.

Defense: Matt Pedersen, 95 Giants – Pedersen, 18, recorded eight points in four games played in November. The 5’11/175 lbs. native of Northford, CT had six goals during the month and currently leads his team in scoring with 17 points in 13 games played.

Goalie: Nikita Volski, Esmark Stars – Volski, 17 won all three games he played during the month of November going a perfect 3-0. The 6’2/185 lbs. native of Minsk, Belarus stopped 59 of 63 shots that came his way and posted a 24-save shutout.

 

T1ER 16U

Forward: Owen Lowe, Tri State Spartans – Lowe, 16, had 10 points in five games in November, which included five goals and five assists. The 5’8/150 lbs. native of Powell, OH, had three multi-point games during the month and currently leads the Spartans in scoring with 16 points in 13 games played.

Defense: Ilya Zhdanov, Esmark Stars – Zhdanov, 16, had seven points in four games during November. The 6’1/180 lbs. native of Yekaterinburg, Russia, had two goals and five assists and had a four-point game. In 12 games played this season, Zhdanov has 10 points.

Goalie: Aries Carangi, Philadephia Little Flyers – Carangi, 16, posted a perfect 4-0 record in the month of November. The 6’4/175 lbs. native of Glenside, PA, allowed just four goals in four games during the month making 81 saves on 85 total shots. In 10 games this season, Carangi has a 7-2-0 record with a 1.76 goals against average and a .928 save percentage.

 

T1ER 15U

Forward: Logan Stawizynski, CarShield AAA – Stawizynski, 15, had seven points in two games in November. The 5’8/143 lbs. native of High Ridge, MO, had six goals and one assist. In 8 games played this season, he has 14 points.

Defense: Ryan Seder, Colorado Springs Tigers – Seder, 15, had three points in four games in November. The 5’9/151 lbs. native of Colorado Springs, CO, had two goals and an assist, which included a multi-point game.

Goalie: Connor Gray, Colorado Springs Tigers – Gray, 15, won both of his starts in November, allowing just one goal. The 5’9/146 lbs. native of Castle Rock, CO, faced 25 shots in the two wins and made 24 saves.

 

T1ER 14U

Forward: Tygar Lister, Arizona Bobcats – Lister, 14, posted seven points in four games in the month of November. The 5’6/125 lbs. native of Chandler, AZ, had two goals and five assists to go along with two multi-point games.

Defense: Ben Gagne, Madison Capitols – Gagne, 14, put up four points in four games in November. The 5’6/118 lbs. native of Madison, WI had two multi-point games, which included four assists during the month.

Goalie: Kameron Laskaska, Vegas Jr. Golden Knights – Laskaska, 14, won both his starts in November. The 6’0/150 lbs. native of Las Vegas, NV, allowed just a goal in each win, stopping 41 of 43 shots.

 

PREP

Forward: Nicholas Chadd, Denver East – Chadd, 17, put up seven points in four games during the first PREP event of the season. The 5’7/125 lbs. native of Denver, CO, had seven points in four games during the event in November, which included three multi-point games.

Defense: Luke Miller, Regis Jesuit – Miller, 15, had a pair of goals in November helping Regis to a 3-1 record. The 6’1/180 lbs. native of Aurora, CO, had a game-winning goal as well.

Goalie: Aaro Pesula, St. Mary’s – Pesola, 18, played in three games during the event in November and didn’t allow a goal. The 5’11/170 lbs. native of San Jose, CA, split all three games and stopped a total of 30 shots.

 

SHOWCASE 18U

Forward: Carson Pishkur, West Dundee Leafs – Pishkur, 18, helped the Leafs stay unbeaten in NAPHL play with 11 points in November. The 5’11/165 lbs. native of Elmhurst, IL, had four goals and three multi-point games.

Defense: Bennett Dufault, Highland Park Falcons – Default, 17, had eight more points in November. The 5’9/170 lbs. native of Prairie Grove, IL, had three goals during the month and currently leads the team in scoring with 11 points in 8 games played.

Goalie: Cole Fennema, Texas Tigers – Fennema, 17, won both of his starts in November, while allowing just a single goal. The 6’0/165 lbs. native of Colleyville, TV stopped 63 of 64 shots in the two wins and had a 27-save shutout.

 

SHOWCASE 16U

Forward: Kyle Arias, Orland Park Vikings – Arias, 16, had a huge month of November. The 5’11/140 lbs. native of Orland Park, IL, had 12 points in four games during the month, which included a multi-point outing in all four games and seven goals.

Defense: Nathaniel Maxwell, Gurnee Vipers – Maxwell, 16, had seven points in four games in November. The 6’0/165 lbs. native of Round Lake Heights, IL, had two multi-point games and scored three goals.

Goalie: Colby Zemanek, Gurnee Vipers – Zemanek, 16, posted back-to-back shutouts in his two starts in November. The 5’6/133 lbs. native of Antioch, IL, made 22 saves in two shutouts.

 

SHOWCASE 14U

Forward: Luke Chiu, Highland Park Falcons – Chiu, 14, led all Showcase Division players with 15 points in the month of November. The 6’0/130 lbs. native of Wilmette, IL had seven goals and three multi-point games.

Defense: Evan Kuntz, Chicago Hawks – Kuntz, 14, had a big month of November, recording nine points in four games played. The 5’7/140 lbs. native of Downers Grove, IL, had two multi-point games and a hat-trick.

Goalie: Alex Richter, Highland Park Falcons – Richter, 14, went 4-0 in the month of November, allowing just four goals in four games. The 5’8/135 lbs. native of Deefield, IL, had two shutouts and stopped 50 of 54 shots that came his way.
